Another Year Around the Sun, Feeling Grateful

Birthdays have become a little different for me over the years.

When I was younger, they felt like celebrations of milestones and plans ahead. These days, birthdays feel more like a special day to reflect… to feel gratitude, and to take inventory of all the people, places, and moments that make my life so rich.

This year’s celebration was beautifully simple, time with Tom, a few sweet surprises, wonderful meals, laughter, and those little moments that remind you how fortunate life can be. Sitting across the table from someone who has shared so many chapters with me, I found myself thinking less about candles and more about gratitude.

Grateful for family. 

For our children and grandchildren, and my big wonderful family,  who continue to remind me what really matters. To the people who show up in big ways and small ways. Time together becomes more meaningful every year.

Grateful for Healdsburg.

Twenty-three years ago, we planted roots here, and I could never have imagined how deeply this community would become part of who I am. There is something special about this place, the beauty, the vineyards, the changing seasons, the people who stop and say hello downtown, and the feeling that community still matters.

And grateful for real estate.

After all these years in this business, what continues to surprise me is that real estate has never really been about homes for me, it has always been about people.

I’ve had the privilege of helping clients through exciting beginnings, meaningful transitions, celebrations, challenges, and life-changing moments. To be trusted with something as personal as where someone lives is something I never take for granted.

Every property has a story. Every client becomes part of ours.

To be able to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by incredible people across Sonoma County… that feels like a gift.

As I celebrate another birthday, I’m not making big resolutions. I’m simply hoping to keep doing more of what matters: spending time with the people I love, creating memories, serving my clients well, staying healthy, staying curious, and appreciating this beautiful life.

Thank you to everyone who sent a message, made a call, shared a meal, or simply thought of me.

My heart is full.
